Description An oil painting of a man (probably William Turtle) holding a cello, painted by Thomas Gandy (active 1848-1859). William Turtle moved from the Isle of Wight to London between 1835 and 1837. Carisbrooke Castle Museum have an archive of material relating to the Turtle family on the Isle of Wight.
